Chang'an
Day One, Morning
Hello. My name is Jia. I am a descendent of Marco Polo. I am traveling down the Silk Road to get more stocks for my shop in Venice. My crew and I are traveling by camel. My first stop is Chang'an.
Day One, Noon
Hello. I am having having a great time in Chang'an. I learneg that ''chang'' and ''an'' means "eternal,peace". Chang'an is the central of culture exchange. I see so many people. They are trading trading camels,silk,spices,tea,sugar, and many other things. The music I hear is so beautiful. The music calms me down. The poets,scholars,singers,dancers, and musicians hear are great. Especially the poems. The poems tells its history and describing the landscape. In Chang'an I got some beautiful silk fabric.
Day 1, Afternoon
Chang'an has churches, shops, and mosques. Many people from other places like Persia and Byzantine. When the come here ,they bring their fashion, culture, and religions. Here in Chang'an, they have the oldest music score in China. I tried some of their food today. The people of Chang'an usually eat noodles of fish.
Day 1, Night
One my way home I saw The Bell and The Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The both look beautiful. I can hide my whloe body in it. The Goose Pagoda is tall compare to my home. I always wondering why the are calling it The Big WIld Goose Pagona.
I found out that The Big Goose Pagona housed the library of famous pilgram Xuanzang.

Day 6, Morning
I am in the city of Samarkand. I see many camels here. They must be their main caverly. I should probably be able to buy my camels food and water. They have not drunk or ate in awhile.

I have looked around the city and found out the have colored paper. I will get some to show my parents. I also learned they have fragrant musk. My sister will love some.

Day 12, Morning
I am in the city of Kashgar. I have toured the city and love it. So far, I have bought perfumes,grapes,ivory,jewels, wines, spices, and pomegranates. I also got some great silk but not the best. I also tasted some of their food. Their many foods are flour, corn, and rice. I really liked the corn. They also have carrots,onions, raisins, and vegetables.

On my way back to rest, I saw the Idar Kah Mosque. It is one of the largest mosques in China. It is extremely popular among the muslims in Xiajiang. I saw some people pray there. I would probably see how it looks on the inside tomorrow.

I am in the city of Instanbul.Today my crew wanted to see the Hagia Sophia. It was a former patrichal basilica but know a mosque. It is famous because the huge dome. When I went inside,it was huge and beautiful. I want to take my family to see it if I come again.

I am on my way to got eat when I see people washing their feet by a mosque. I ask on of them why they were doing this. She said that it was a muslim ritual ablutions conclude with the washing of feet. The taps outside the mosque ae used by the faithful for a purpose. I never heard of something like that. I wonder what my sister will say when I tell her. But some far, I gotten the best silk from here. It is so soft and won't tear as easily.
